Very cute decor. The menu has matcha everything! The matcha soft serve is less than $6. There is plenty of seating. Street parking. This place is a dessert space, no hot heavy meals. Its a great place for desert, drinks, and snacks.

Hm, what to say about this place. Their matcha line is well-known of course, but the hojicha products seem bland - I've had other hojicha soft serve (actually, mixed with matcha but both flavors were still strong) at another chain Japanese dessert shop in the city which is much, much better. It's funny, I love these kind of asian dessert shops (and the location is hard to dismiss, especially with proximity to work) but there's something about the food quality and relatively high prices (pre-2022 inflation) that doesn't make me frequent them despite the convenience. I also don't appreciate their hours a whole lot. Their closures feels frequent and unpredictable enough that I would consider visiting once in a blue moon when my cravings take over the potential let downs.

Randomly came across Amausaan and decided to stop by bc we were craving matcha desserts. Me and my friends were pleasantly surprised by the interior decor and the seating arrangements. It was around 6pm on a Friday night. There weren't many people inside so there was no line and plenty of available seats. I love matcha soft serves but decided to go with a hot hojicha latte bc it was a really cold day. It was served up in under 5 minutes. Hojicha Latte: 4/5 Solid drink if you're into hojicha! I know the flavor isn't for everyone, but I'm personally into it and this drink rocked. I was pretty cold and this drink warmed me up to my toes. There were a couple other college students just hanging out/studying (which makes sense bc it's super close to UC Berkeley). Overall, I'm super impressed by the attention to detail and aesthetic of the cafe. I hope I can come back again to try out their matcha swirls!

Street metered parking is available for this shop. When you walk in, it's very aesthetically pleasing. Lots of decor and music in the background. It's definitely a hang out spot more than anything else. They make their drinks really strong with matcha and I love that! I think they're quite popular, and they know that, because the prices are high! We bought: A slice of Hojicha Mille crepe cake 4/5. $12 The intensity is there, if you love intensely bitter dessert treats, this is the one. I love strong and bitter tea, but I definitely think this cake is the most intense Mille crepe cake I have ever had. I would recommend splitting this with someone. It's not necessarily a big portion(it's quite small), it's just that the flavor gets too overwhelming eating this specific flavor by yourself would be a lot. The cream to crepe was uneven as well, in comparison to other shops. There was a ton more crème than crepe. Strawberry cake 3/5 $12 This is really just a container of sponge cake and strawberry cream put together. Very aesthetically pleasing and cute, would make a good present. However, for $12, you're really paying for aesthetics more than anything else. Matcha with sago 4/5 $6 Good, but I asked for no ice and she put Ice. The drink what you would expect, a strong matcha with coconut milk and sago. Not too sweet either, which is what I prefer. Overall, I think this place is great and worth a try, but pretty overpriced for what it is. I'd recommend the drinks and crepe cakes on special occasions.
